Top Ten Tuesday: Not-So-Spooky Books

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday theme is Not-So-Spooky Books. With a variety of genres and monsters, featured titles include “A Monster Calls,” “Ghosts and Ginger Tea,” and “Scarlett and the Dark Woods!”

It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is run by Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl and this week’s theme is Not-So-Spooky Books!

This time of year, I am often telling people how I am a coward and my tolerance for scary things is very low. I also have anxiety, so I am already scared of everything. Why would I make that worse? However, I do like to be atmospheric, so I do love reading books with vampires and monsters this time of year, as long as it isn’t scary! So, here are books that I love reading this time of year that don’t terrify me!

Here’s my Top Ten:

Morgana and Oz by Miyuli

A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness

Monsters and Mocha by Sarah Beran

Ghosts and Ginger Tea by Leialoha Humpherys

Horsemen and Hot Chocolate by Ashley Evercott

Elves and Espresso by Scarlett Luna Strange

The Undead Fox of Deadwood Forest by Aubrey Hartman

Scarlett and the Dark Woods by Mary Mecham

A Tempest of Tea by Hafsah Faizal

A Fable of Moonlight and Memory by Ashley Evercott

oohh I haven’t seen A Monster Calls in a long time! It’s actually one of my favorite “scary” books because I’m not much of a fan of horror so I prefer these “psychological creepy” books more 😍
