I’m a Weapon is an interesting sci-fi novel following a sentient battle robot as he joins the rebellion!

This book wasn’t my favorite book ever, but I think that is more a me problem than anything specific with the book or writing. I do enjoy some sci-fi/dystopian novels, but I have some complaints about some of the content in this book.

This book wasn’t horribly inappropriate or anything, but there was some inappropriateness to it, which I didn’t like. There was a quite a bit of foul language, as well as a lot of death and some of it was kind of graphic.

I did enjoy the narrator of this book. Jack was humorous and I liked his viewpoint on the world. He was an entertaining character and I did enjoy him.

The storyline itself was interesting as well. There was rebellion and action and it was engaging. For whatever reason, though, I just could not get into the story very much.

Again, I don’t think this has much to do with the writing or story itself, it was just not my cup of tea. There were elements of the book that I really liked, and it reminds me of Martha Wells’s Murderbot Diaries. I think that a lot of people would really enjoy this book, it is just not for me.
