It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is run by Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl and this week’s theme is Books I Was Reading in August Last Year.
Technically, this week’s theme is Books I Was Reading on This Day Over the Last Ten Years. However, I was nine ten years ago, so I don’t have records that far back. So, I am just going to share the books I read in August last year!
Here’s my Top Ten Seven:
Forestborn by Elayne Audrey Becker
I loved this book! It was so, so good. It set up a really interesting world, with unique characters and magic, as well as wonderful sibling and family relationships!

Wildbound by Elayne Audrey Becker
Again, I loved this book! This was a perfect ending for the duology, and the author did an incredible job. This is definitely one of my favorite books!

A Magic Steeped in Poison by Judy I. Lin
This book was just okay. I liked the idea of it more than the execution, though the cover is gorgeous.

A Venom Dark and Sweet by Judy I. Lin
This conclusion to the duology was also just okay. There was something about these books that I just couldn’t get into, and it left me wanting.

His Face is the Sun by Michelle Jabes Corpora
I really liked this book! It set up a rich world and storyline. I loved exploring Egypt and their mythologies throughout this book. My only comment about this book is that it is better to read this book when the sequel is available.

A Forgery of Fate by Elizabeth Lim
I loved this Asian mythology inspired Beauty and the Beast retelling with Little Mermaid influence and dragons! This was such a cozy and fun read.

The Princess Companion by Melanie Cellier
This book was the beginning of my love for this world and Melanie Cellier’s books! I loved it so, so much. It was so cozy and comforting, and a wonderful story!

What books were you reading last August? Let me know in the comments!
