Top Ten Tuesday: Books I am Thankful to Have Read This Year

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday theme is Books I am Thankful to Have Read This Year! Featured titles include “Write Me for You,” “The Scorpio Races,” and “We Hunt the Flame!”

It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is run by Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl and this week’s theme is a Thankfulness Freebie in honor of Thanksgiving!

This week I am focusing on all of the books I am very thankful I have had the opportunity to read this last year! Many of them have come to be some of my favorite books and the ones I’m constantly recommending!

Here’s my Top Ten:

The Princess Companion by Melanie Cellier

I probably sound like a broken record at this point, with how many times I have recommended this book, but I adored it! This was probably one of the best impulse buys of my life!

Three Wild Dogs (and the truth) by Markus Zusak

I absolutely adored this book! It was real and grounded, and I felt seen in being a dog owner in a way I hadn’t before.

I am Not Jessica Chen by Ann Liang

I will always love Ann Liang’s books, but this book will always hold a special place in my heart. It made me feel so seen!

Write Me For You by Tillie Cole

This book absolutely broke my heart, but the grief representation in this book was amazing!

Foul Lady Fortune by Chloe Gong

Who doesn’t love undercover spies pretending to be in love only to actually fall in love in 1920s Shanghai?

The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater

I read this years ago and didn’t really get it, but this time around and I was able to see all of the little details that make this book so special!

The Healer’s Apprentice by Melanie Dickerson

I just finished this book yesterday, but I loved the historical aspects and how Christianity was woven throughout the story. It was a lovely read and one I won’t forget!

Forestborn by Elayne Audrey Becker

I loved this book so, so much! I especially loved the sibling relationships and how the romance was portrayed! This is a book I will gladly come back to over and over again!

We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal

This was another one of those books that I read years ago and didn’t get! This time around I got it and fell in love with it! A truly wonderful story, with amazing characters and world building!

Goodbye, My Princess by Fei Wo Si Cun

This is one of my more recent reads, and I really enjoyed it. I love a good tragedy, and this book did it for me! I particularly enjoyed the short stories at the end, which made the tragedy that much more impactful.

What books are you thankful to have read this year?
