Top Ten Tuesday: Books Guaranteed to Put an End to Your Book Slump

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday focuses on books that get you out of a reading slump. With ten YA books listed, titles include “The Raven Boys,” “The 5th Wave,” and “Forestborn.”

It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is run by Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s theme is Books Guaranteed to Put an End to Your Book Slump.

This prompt is kind of interesting for me. There hasn’t really ever been a time when I haven’t read at all. So my book slumps are me slogging through books just because. I am afraid I might be in one now, but I hope it passes! The other interesting side of this prompt for me is that most of the books I chose are longer, while I often prefer shorter books.

    I relate to your introductory point, of you slogging through books if you are in a slump. I do the same. Mine always appear in the fall and usually lasts till around New Year’s Eve.

    Reading slumps are a pain and I usually find that I get a run of meugh! books.

    The last YA book that I read which I would be happy to recommend was Sasha vs the Whole Wide World (and Dragons) by Rachel Taylor Thompson – a fast paced story with a crazy family.

    A few people this week have mentioned reading longer books to get out of a reading slump. That’s such interesting advice to me! Usually, I balk a little at reading longer books. Luckily, like you, I don’t ever have reading slumps. That’s rare, apparently. Lucky us!
