Top Ten Tuesday: Most Anticipated Books Releasing in the Second Half of 2025

In this Top Ten Tuesday post, I share excitement for anticipated book releases in the second half of 2025. I list ten upcoming titles, including “The Nightblood Prince,” “Rootbound,” and “A Steeping of Blood,” expressing enthusiasm for unique genres like fantasy retellings, graphic novels, and romantic comedies.

It’s another Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is run by Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s theme is Anticipated Books Releasing in the Second Half of 2025.

I don’t often pay too much attention to book releases, so I had to do some digging to find books releasing this year. I am actually really excited for all of them!

Here’s my Top Ten:

The Nightblood Prince by Molly X. Chang (releasing on July 1)

I love Asian American stories, and this one has vampires! It is also a romance, with political drama. It checks all my boxes!

Rootbound by Margaret Owen (releasing on July 28)

Tangled is one of my favorite movies. I loved the tv show too, and I read some of the books based on the show when I was younger. I am super excited that a Tangled story is coming out for older readers!

The Last Tiger by Julia Riew (releasing on July 29)

This book is a fantasy retelling of when the Japanese occupied Korea and the love story between the author’s grandparents. It sounds very interesting!

The Raven Boys: The Graphic Novel by Maggie Stiefvater (releasing on July 29)

I am not usually a graphic novel reader, but this is one that I will read in a heartbeat! I love the Raven Cycle and am so excited it is being made into a graphic novel!

Glorious Rivals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (releasing on July 29)

I still have to read the first book in this series, but I am really excited to reenter this world. And, from everything I have heard, it follows Grayson, who was my favorite character.

For the Rest of Us editied by Dahlia Adler (releasing on September 2)

I don’t really love anthologies because they feel incomplete, but I love holidays, so I am excited to get my hands on this one. I don’t think I’ll buy it, but I’ll definitely check it out from the library!

A Steeping of Blood by Hafsah Faizal (releasing on September 23)

I loved A Tempest of Tea and was heartbroken when I realized I would have to wait months before I could read the sequel. I need to know what happens next and am eagerly counting down the days!

Fake Skating by Lynn Painter (releasing on September 30)

Okay, I still haven’t read any Lynn Painter, but from everything I’ve heard I would love her work. This book just sounds super adorable and a perfect winter read!

The Princess Knight by Cait Jacobs (releasing in October 14)

This is a romantasy Legally Blonde! That alone makes me want to read it!

Coldwire by Chloe Gong (releasing on November 4)

I am on a Chloe Gong binge right now and am I loving it! So, now I have to read her newest work, and it sounds likes some other books I have read, so I am super excited!

What are looking forward to reading?

I hadn’t heard of Rootbound, but oh my gosh! That cover is so pretty, and I love Margaret Owen’s work. That one’s definitely going on my TBR. Thanks for sharing!

I’m not big on anthologies either, but I do like the sound of For the Rest of Us. I hope you enjoy it and all these others!

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
