Saturday Spotlight: Contemporary Romance #1- Write Me for You

This month’s theme is Contemporary Romance, and this week I am sharing “Write Me for You” by Tillie Cole. While sad, Jesse and June’s love story is sweet and endearing, with a dual love story and soulmates!

This month’s Saturday Spotlight theme is Contemporary Romance!

I’m going to start with one of my sadder recommendations, Write Me for You by Tillie Cole.

I love this book so much! The romance, while devastating, is absolutely adorable. June and Jesse are so cute together, and they really understand each other. I love the gentle ways they showed up for each other. There was also a little bit of a dual love story, and I loved the different ways their love story is explored. Even though this doesn’t have the happiest of endings, June and Jesse’s love story is one for the ages, and one that I adore!

Seventeen-year-old June Scott has always dreamt of becoming a novelist. To write the greatest love story ever told. One that would fill hearts and souls with happiness and joy.

However, June has never been in love and when she receives some devastating news, there doesn’t feel as if there’s much time left for her own beautiful love story.

That’s until she meets Jesse Taylor who treats every day as if it could be his last. Which could be true. For them both.

Together their worlds light up and a love so strong grows between them.

With days slipping away like sand in an hourglass June begins to write their love story. June is determined to give the boy she loves the story of them. And the world a reminder of who they might have been if their stars were written differently.

Because even when your heartbeat stops, a true love story never dies.
