This month’s Saturday Spotlight theme is Friendsgiving! Last week I shared The Unwanteds by Lisa McMann. You can find that post here.
This week I am sharing one of my favorite friend groups- the Keeper of the Lost Cities crew! This series has been going on for a long time- going on thirteen years now- so the friend group has evolved and changed over the course of the series.
I loved how this friend group has grown and changed, and how we get to see them grow up. I have also loved all the new additions to the friend group. There are quite a few characters that were mentioned in the beginning of the series, and then they became part of the main group in the later books. The changing dynamics of the friend group are also interesting, and they reflect how people change and grow and how their roles change and grow as a result.
This friend group is a lot of fun to follow as they go through their adventures! This book series is a fun, fantasy series that portrays realistic friend groups!

Twelve-year-old Sophie Foster has a secret. She’s a Telepath—someone who hears the thoughts of everyone around her. It’s a talent she’s never known how to explain.
Everything changes the day she meets Fitz, a mysterious boy who appears out of nowhere and also reads minds. She discovers there’s a place she does belong, and that staying with her family will place her in grave danger. In the blink of an eye, Sophie is forced to leave behind everything and start a new life in a place that is vastly different from anything she has ever known.
Sophie has new rules to learn and new skills to master, and not everyone is thrilled that she has come “home.”
There are secrets buried deep in Sophie’s memory—secrets about who she really is and why she was hidden among humans—that other people desperately want. Would even kill for.
