This week I am sharing a long-time favorite author Shannon Hale!

While I have not read all of her works (she is a very prolific author with middle grade books, picture books, graphic novels, YA books, and adult books!), I have read quite a few of her works and have loved them.

I have read her middle grade Princess Academy trilogy, her Books of Bayern series, her standalone novel Book of a Thousand Days, and her Ever After High series way back in the day!

All of her books are so cute, with adorable romances, that are also clean! Her characters are well fleshed out and they were very relatable.

I loved all of her characters from every one of her books. They are so great and varied- I especially love the characters from the Books of Bayern. These books were so good- with fairytale adventure vibes and such a unique magic system.

Even the middle grade books have super sweet romances. Of course, there is a bigger focus on friendship during these books, which I really liked. I loved the core group of girls that we get to see throughout The Princess Academy trilogy.

I haven’t read the Ever After High series in years, but from what I remember of it was a fun read, and the tv show was amazing! I actually really liked the books that followed other characters in the same world, though other authors wrote those ones.

Book of a Thousand Days is a really unique book, in that it is written entirely in journal format. It also takes place in Mongolia, which I find so fascinating. It is honestly one of my favorite books and comfort reads.

Shannon Hale has written so many amazing books, all of them with adorable romances, realistic characters, and unique worlds and magic systems!
