This month’s Saturday Spotlight theme is graphic novels. So far, I have discussed Ghosts, Smile, The Remarried Empress, and Teen Titans. You can find those posts here, here, here, and here.
When I posted on my Instagram what books I was going to discuss this month, this week’s book was going to be Be Prepared. However, I realized I have more graphic novels I want to read than I have read. So, this week I am going to share some of the graphic novels I hope to read in the future!
Squire by Nadia Shammas
I have heard many good things about this book and am super excited to give it a try. This book reminds me of a lot of the books I usually read. A girl is trying to become a full member of society and does this by becoming a knight.

Cleopatra in Space by Mike Maihack
I don’t know much about this series, admittedly, but it sounds so interesting! Cleopatra and space? Sign me up! And I know it was made into a tv show, so I can watch the show and read the book at the same time!

The Sand Warrior by Mark Siegel
I have shelved these books for years and it looks super intriguing. My sister pointed out that the spines come together to make a picture, which only increases my interest. It takes place in another solar system that will be destroyed if five beacons aren’t lit. I don’t know why, but it reminds me of the newer She-Ra on Netflix.

Chi’s Sweet Home by Kanata Konami
I read one of these years ago and it was super cute and fun. I want to read the rest of them. I love a cute animal adventure, especially with a naughty kitten!

Sue and Tai-Chan by Kanata Konami
I have also read some of these, but I need to finish the series. This series reminds me of my dogs. I have an older dog and a puppy and watching them is like watching Sue and Tai-Chi. This is another fun and cute cat graphic novel!

The Mythmakers by John Hendrix
This is a story about C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien. I have only read the Narnia books, and I still need to read the Lord of the Rings books, but I have heard things about these two authors friendship for years. I am curious about their history and the cover is gorgeous!

Amulet by Kazu Kibushi
This series has been on my radar since I was in elementary school. It has been a while! I would watch kids in school read it and now I am watching kids my sister’s age read it. I think I have to give it a shot, and it looks like it is up my alley anyway!

What graphic novels do you think I should read in the future?
