It’s another Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is run by Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl! This week’s theme is one I am super excited about! Its Things Characters Have Said.
I absolutely love collecting quotes from the books I have read, and I am super excited to share some of my favorites!
Here’s my Top Ten:
- “Maybe I was still selfish. I still wanted the whole world.”- Because You’ll Never Meet Me by Leah Thomas (one of my absolute favorite books, and one of the few YA eptisolary books I have found)
- “Let them start their dreadful wars, let destruction rain down, and let plague sweep through, but I will still be here, doing my work, holding humankind together with a love like this.”- Lovely War by Julie Berry (I have mentioned this book several times and I really love it. The whole book could be quoted, but this is one of my favorites)
- “While I’m gone, dream me the world. Something new for every night.”- The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater (I love this whole series and will probably share more quotes from this author than any other)
- “He was a book, and he was holding his final pages, and he wanted to get to the end to find out how it went, and he didn’t want it to be over.”- The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater
- “You are made of dreams and this world is not for you.”- Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater
- “Greywaren, it’s time to grow up.”- Greywaren by Maggie Stiefvater
- “I am left with pieces of remembering though I loved him whole.”- A Thousand Endings and Beginnings edited by Ellen Oh
- “Over and over again he said, ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry,’ and over and over again, Nia said, ‘We love you, we love you.”- The Wingfeather Saga: North! Or Be Eaten by Andrew Peterson
- “She may be dead, but her love for you was real. It happened, and it will always have happened. Whatever you do, you can never change the truth that a baby was born, was loved, and was given a name.”- The Wingfeather Saga: The Warden and the Wolf King (out of context this makes absolutely no sense, but it was a super emotional part of the book and has stuck with me for years)
- “His upstairs window had shown him many things over the years. But now he could not help wondering what else his window had not shown him.”- The Lost Library by Rebecca Stead
These are just some of my favorite quotes and they have a special place in my heart!
