Review

After returning from the wilderness, Dex and Mosscap decide to go to the villages and towns of Panga. Here they try to determine what it is that people need. They meet new friends, explore new ideas, and experience the world.

This series didn’t grow on me with the addition of this book. Again, I think it has potential to be amazing, but I wanted more. I think this book could have been smashed onto the first book and effectively been one book.

I will say I like how there were more people in this book. I liked getting to know the citizens of Panga and how they interacted with Mosscap.

I still feel like the question they are trying to answer: What do people need? wasn’t answered. I know it is impossible to actually answer, but I felt as if it could have been given more focus at least. It seemed like most of the book is dedicated to Dex’s issues, when I want to know more of Mosscap is doing.

Again, this book, and series in general, is cute but not my cup of tea. I really liked the idea and parts of the story, but I found myself searching for more.
