Review:

This is Lila’s last Christmas break of high school. She is working at the local inn, where the iconic film Holiday by the Lake was filmed, to earn money for college, but she is also a secret book blogger. When Lila’s boss’s nephew, Teddy, shows up, he ruins her holiday plans. While Lila is Type A, Teddy is resistant to Lila’s suggestions. That is until they accidently switch phones and learn they both have secrets. Will this bring them together?

I have been waiting to read this book for around a year now. I was not disappointed! This was such a cute book, and it sucked me in.

I enjoyed the main character and the love interest. The characters were interesting and realistic. I enjoyed all the interactions between every character, and their different hobbies, especially the rock-climbing aspect. I don’t get to see too much of that.

The setting was also amazing. I want to live in a perpetual Christmas town!

I did look to see if Holiday by the Lake was a real movie. Unfortunately, it is not; if it was, I would have watched it immediately.

There was Filipino representation, too. I am not too familiar with this culture, and I don’t see it in too many books, so it was nice to see.

I loved that the main character was a book blogger, and we got to see some of her posts. It was one of my favorite aspects of The Holiday Switch.

I don’t really have any complaints for this book. The one thing I’ll note, is that I wish there was more interactions with the side characters.

The Holiday Switch was an amazing Christmas read, and it is one of my favorite holiday books so far!
