Saturday Spotlight: Dessert

Thanksgiving approaches and one of the best parts of Thanksgiving is the dessert. Here I’m sharing one of my favorite dessert recipes!

This Thursday is Thanksgiving! This year’s Thanksgiving is going to be a little bit smaller for my family, and I have been put in charge of dessert. I love to bake and am very excited to take this on.

I debated multiple different desserts when I started thinking about what I wanted to make. Originally, I was going to make three-in-one pie bars with a chocolate trifle for my family members who don’t like pie, but I have since changed my mind. I have decided to go with a family favorite: apple crisp. I found this recipe just over a year ago and it has quickly become one of my regular desserts. It is incredibly easy and quick.

The one thing I changed about the recipe was instead of mixing the butter into the mixture, I take the cubes and place it in a grid atop the whole dessert.

Thank you, Savoring Italy, for this wonderful recipe. The recipe is located here: https://www.savoringitaly.com/cinnamon-apple-crisp/

Happy Thanksgiving!
