For Darkness Shows the Stars is by Diana Peterfreund. It is a dystopian retelling of Persuasion by Jane Austen.

The Gallagher Girls is by Ally Carter and follows Cammie as she navigates an all-girls spy school.

The Heist Society is by Ally Carter, as well, and follows Kat as her and her crew use their thieving skills to solve mysteries.
